UDO East Anglian Championships

Recently, I competed in the UDO East Anglian Championships (street dance) in Peterborough, along with my crew, UKnight (from Platinum Dance Academy). We have 2 crews, the senior one, UKnight and the junior one, Nemesis. Both crews qualified for the World Championships which will be held in Glasgow on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of August this year. Nemesis came 2nd in their age category and UKnight 3rd in theirs. Not only did we compete as a team we also competed as solos and pairs. Little Sam (member of Nemesis), who is only 8 years of age, came first in his age category for his solo routine! Leah, 9 and Maddy (also members of Nemesis) came 3rd in their age group for pairs! Myself (Jess Daniels), 14 and Jude, 12 came 1st in our age category of which was under 16s for our duo routine!
I'd like to say a big thankyou to Lorna (director of Platinum Dance Academy), Mica (co-director) and Natasha (teacher of infants) for taking and helping us! x

CODY SIMPSON:

Aged 16, Australian singer Cody is already living the dream life doing what he loves and does best as a job! He's currently signed to US record label, Atlantic Records and just recently did a tour in the UK (which i did happen to go to!!). Not only is he a talented performer but he's also a gold medalist swimmer, Simpson trained at Miami swimming club in Gold Coast, Queensland. On top of all that he's also a keen surfer!

PETERBOROUGH STREET COMPETITION

So as some of you may know i am a street dancer and have been for 5 years and am now competing in UDO! Me and my crew, UKnight have already come second in our first ever competition and this sunday we hope to win not only as a group but in solo's and duets!
Last year we met one of the actors/dancers from the film Street Dance.  ----------------------------------------------------->

This year we haven't a bigger crew consisting of more fabulous dancers! We have better choreography and better costumes so fingers crossed this will guarantee us first place, wish us luck!  Jessica Daniels ♥ 

Wreck it Ralph review

Wreck it Ralph is a film based on all different arcade the mains ones being Fix it Felix, Hero's Duty and Sugar Rush! It's a great family film and it's filled with loads of different funny moments!

Wreck it Ralph longs to be a loved character in the gaming world as being a bad, hated guy who lives in the garbage isn't nice! Ralph goes on his search for heroism and sneaks into Hero's Duty where he heard he could win a medal which would prove that he is actually a good person, but mistakes lead to more and he finds himself tumbling into the sweet world of Sugar Rush! Here he meets his best friend to be Vanellope who is said to be a 'glitch' by all the citizens of sugar rush but mainly King Candy! As the film goes on Ralph learns that there is something wrong in the explanation of King Candy and finds out that he's gone 'turbo'!
I found this film to be so funny, my favorite character was of course Vanellope has she's so fun, crazy and seems like a real cool gal! I would recommend this movie to everyone but mainly people with more of an immature/young sense of humor like me! Make sure you watch this on a full stomach because Sugar Rush makes you hungry! ;)

JADEN SMITH!!!!

Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith (THE LEGEND)) is a 14 year old (july 8th 1998) American actor, rapper and dancer! He made his breakthrough in the Persuit of Happiness in 2006. He has also starred in the remakes of The Day The Earth Stood Still and of course the amazing Karate Kid! I'm a huge fan of his i must admit and i do have a few sneaky photos of him on my picture wall along with some others! If you like a guy who has a job Jaden has many! along with his own brand of clothing called MSFTSrep!

Justin Bieber Believe album (acoustic version) review.

okay, recently i noticed the gorgeous Justin Bieber had remade an acoustic version of his big selling album 'Believe' so obviously i had to check it out! After sitting with headphones on for 40 minutes i was so surprised, it was better than i thought it was going to be! Personally i prefer acoustic music to r&b so i thought this was better than the original. I feel Bieber's voice sounds much deeper/lower in this version of the album and it makes the listening so much more enjoyable as he is an adult male so don't you think he should sound like one?! and in this he certainly does. My favorite song was 'Yellow Raincoat', I'd never heard this song before the acoustic version so after hearing it i decided to check out the original and i liked the acoustic so much better! It was so much softer and meaningful. I also enjoyed 'I Would' but in this i felt his voice had been modified to sound higher and i feel that if it hadn't of been it would be better than it already is! Let's hope the amazingly talented Justin Bieber does more of these!!
